Acute and chronic illness complicates and changes lives in many ways. Professional social workers are trained to assist in assessing the social and emotional impact of illness as well as the special needs that may occur.
Social workers are knowledgeable about community resources to help meet these needs and will assist in accessing them. Social service is available to patients/residents and their families at both the hospital and nursing center. These services are free of charge and are just one of the ways St. Mary's Innovis Health demonstrates commitment to the people of the region.
